Rock-climbing and How to Train Your Dragon

Yesterday, we went to Strongholds, a rock-climbing facility. We were debriefed on how to put the harness on, how to belay (a technique for holding the ropes for your partner) and how to rock-climb safely. Afterwards, we tested our skills and climbed different walls, some were definitely harder than others! We spent two hours at Strongholds and had a lot of fun learning how to climb. Then, we got onto the bus and made our way to the Chinook Theatre to watch How to Train Your Dragon in IMAX. We waited for a while in the arcade and some people even bought tokens to play the games. We then went to the concession stand and bought popcorn and pop. We proceeded into the theatre and watched How To Train Your Dragon, which was a very cute and interesting movie. At around 3:30, the bus came and we made our way back to school.

Reflection Questions:
What was cool about today?
What made you think today?
What other historical groups have treated another group in the same way that the Vikings treated the dragons?

  6. today was probably one of the best days yet, we went rock climbing in the morning, even if it was short, i learned most from my peers, who encouraged and helped me, i managed to climbed to the top of the wall! then we left and went to Chinook Mall! we went to watch a movie at the theatre, not just any theatre, but the IMAX theatre and watched the movie, it was by far the coolest part of the day (mostly because we didn't have to do anything and just watch a movie! :) i look forward to friday too!
